What is a chemical peel?

A chemical peel involves controlled administration of a chemical exfoliant on the face, neck, chest and/or other parts of the body. The most commonly used active ingredient is glycolic acid in a concentration between 20% and 70%. This acid is a natural part of some sugar-yielding crops, such as sugar cane, pineapple or watermelon.

KHow many treatments need to be completed?

Pri vstupnej konzultácii pred zákrokom lekár z tímu Dermarevolta presne určí, aký počet opakovaní je vhodný pre Vašu pleť. V priemere sa odporúča absolvovať 5 procedúr s časovým odstupom 7-10 dní.

Rady dermatológa pred a po ošetrení:

• minimálne 14 dní pred zákrokom je vhodné začať používať krém s obsahom ovocných kyselín, aby sa pleť na ošetrenie pripravila

• 2 dni pred zákrokom treba túto prípravu ukončiť

• vyvarujte sa depilácii alebo epilácii oblasti ktorá má byť ošetrená

• minimálne týždeň pred zákrokomje potrebné používať krém s ochranným faktorom SPF 50+

• vyhnite sa návšteve sauny, parného kúpeľa, posobeniu silného chladu, intenzívnej fyzickej námahe nevhodné je lokálne používanie kosmetických prostriedkov obsahujúcich deriváty vitamínu A

• v závislosti na protokole a koncentrácii používaného peelingu sa v priebehu ošetrenia či po ošetrení môže objaviť mierne začervenanie, dočasná suchosť alebo deskvamácia (odlúčenie) povrchovej vrstvy kože. Tieto príznaky sa zmenšujú a postupne zmiznú úplne v priebehu 3 dní. Ide o bežnú reakciu.
