What is laser hair removal?

It is a method that permanently removes undesired hair on the body and the face. After the required number of procedures has been completed, hair no longer grows at these locations. The principle behind the method is selective photothermolysis. A laser beam is absorbed by the pigment dye of a hair and caught in the hair follicle, destroying the hair.

What type of laser does Dermarevolta use?

We use a Candela GentleLASE PRO with 755 wavelength, the most advanced type of alexandrite laser available. It is the global number one in laser hair removal. 

Is the procedure painful?

The Candela-patented Dynamic Cooling Device (DCD) is computer controlled and synchronized with the laser shots. This unique cooling system ensures minimal pain, providing you with maximum comfort and protection during the procedure. When treating larger sites as well as intimate areas, a solution is available in the form of an anesthetic cream.

For whom is laser hair removal appropriate?

Generally, laser hair removal is most effective on people with fair skin and dark hair. However, Candela GentleLASE PRO also works with lighter hair colors as long as the hair contains at least the minimum amount of pigment. Another indication is folliculitis (inflamed hair follicles), where the result is seen after the first treatment.

How often does the treatment need to be repeated?

Because the laser beam destroys hairs only in the growth phase, the treatment has to be repeated at least 5-6 times, depending on skin phototype and hair color.

Recommended before the procedure

Do not pull out the hair 3-5 weeks before the process. You can shave it with a razor without limit. Hair should be shaved for the last time in the area to be treated 2 days before laser removal.

Recommended after the procedure

It is recommended for several days after the process to rub soothing cream or lotion containing panthenol where hair has been removed. Protect the skin from sunlight for a month.
