Pracujeme ambulantne, bez výmenného lístka a pri zákrokoch používame lokálnu anestéziu. In one place we cover the whole patient journey: from the proctological examination through diagnosis by anoscopy to the procedure itself. We treat anorectal conditions with modern methods, including laser and Surgitron radiosurgery, most of them on an outpatient basis under local anaesthesia. Below you will find an overview of examinations and procedures; details of the most common ones are on separate pages. If you are not sure where your problem belongs, book an initial examination.
The proctology clinic and surgical procedures on the anus are led by Gergely Kremeshnyy, an experienced proctologist and surgeon. He completed general medicine at Uzhhorod National University from 2005 to 2011. He continued his training in laparoscopic and minimally invasive colorectal surgery from 2015 to 2019, as well as in hernia and abdominal wall surgery, and completed colorectal in-hospital training at Hospital de Sant Pau (2019). He treats patients discreetly and explains the course of the examination clearly.
He focuses on the diagnosis and treatment of anorectal conditions, especially haemorrhoids, anal fissures, perianal fistulas, abscesses, polyps and condylomas. During examinations he uses anoscopy and video proctoscopy, and for procedures laser and radiosurgical methods, most of them on an outpatient basis and under local anaesthesia. The goal is an accurate diagnosis and a gentle procedure with calm healing. He communicates with patients in Slovak, Hungarian, Ukrainian, Russian and English.
Proctological problems are an intimate topic, so we emphasise privacy and calm communication. The doctor explains every step of the examination and proceeds as quickly and gently as the findings allow.
As a private clinic, we book you without a referral from a GP and without long waiting times. You can get an appointment for an initial examination quickly, by phone or via the booking form.
Examinations and procedures are led by Gergely Kremeshnyy, a proctologist and surgeon trained in colorectal and minimally invasive surgery. This way you have diagnosis and treatment with a single anorectal specialist.
During the examination we use anoscopy and video proctoscopy, which display the anal canal on a monitor. You can see the findings too, and they can be documented, which speeds up making the correct diagnosis.
We perform most procedures, from haemorrhoid treatment to polyp removal, on an outpatient basis under local anaesthesia. After a short rest you go home the same day, without hospitalisation or general anaesthesia.
We state the prices of the consultation and procedures in advance, and the consultation is deducted from the price of the procedure when you book it. The exact amount is confirmed by the doctor after an in-person examination, so you know from the start what to expect.
The proctological examination itself usually does not hurt; most patients feel only mild pressure. We start with inspection and gentle palpation, and during anoscopy or video proctoscopy we insert a thin instrument with lubricant, which you feel as brief pressure, not sharp pain. During a consultation without an instrumental examination you feel practically nothing. If you have an acute fissure or a painful haemorrhoid, tell the doctor in advance — he will proceed more gently and, if needed, use a numbing gel. Minor discomfort subsides shortly after the examination and you go home without restrictions.
Yes, the examination is discreet and there is nothing to be embarrassed about — for a proctologist it is a completely routine procedure. At the Dermarevolta clinic we receive you in the privacy of a separate consulting room; the doctor explains every step in advance, and only the necessary area is exposed and only for the time needed. Embarrassment is understandable, but postponing the examination because of it is often the reason problems get worse. We are happy to answer your questions calmly and without judgement; our goal is for you to feel safe.
Simple preparation is enough for a routine proctological examination — emptying the bowel on the day of the examination. You do not need to fast or take laxatives. We recommend:
If only a consultation and visual examination are planned, no special preparation is needed. In case of acute bleeding or severe pain, come even without preparation — we will adapt. You will receive precise instructions when booking your appointment.
The examination usually takes 15 to 20 minutes and is carried out discreetly. You lie on your left side with your knees bent; the doctor first inspects the perianal area, followed by palpation (a digital rectal examination) and, if needed, anoscopy or video proctoscopy, which displays the anal canal and rectum. You see the findings together with the doctor on the monitor. At the end you receive a diagnosis and a proposal for the next steps, whether it is conservative treatment, an outpatient procedure, or a referral for further examination. The examination at the Dermarevolta clinic is led by proctologist Gergely Kremeshnyy.
No, you do not need a referral from a GP or any recommendation — Dermarevolta is a private clinic. You can book directly, by phone at +421 917 080 080 or via the form on the website, usually for an appointment within a few days, without long waiting times. For acute problems such as bleeding or severe pain, we look for the earliest possible appointment. You pay for the examination and the procedure at the clinic according to the price list, as the services are not covered by public health insurance.
These are basic instrumental examinations of the anus and rectum. With an anoscope, a short mirror-like instrument, the doctor inspects the anal canal to a depth of about 10 cm and assesses haemorrhoids, fissures or polyps. Video proctoscopy transmits the image to a monitor, so you can see the findings too and they can be documented. Both examinations are outpatient, take a few minutes and are done with lubricant for maximum comfort; general anaesthesia is not needed. Unlike colonoscopy, they only show the final part of the bowel, so if a condition higher up in the large intestine is suspected, we refer you for a colonoscopy.
Yes, some anorectal conditions can be managed conservatively, without surgery. For early haemorrhoids and acute fissures, a change of diet, enough fibre and fluids, sitz baths and topical ointments or suppositories, or treatment with the Surgitron, can help. The goal is to ease the problems and support healing. However, if the condition progresses, recurs or bleeds repeatedly, we will suggest an outpatient procedure, such as laser treatment or rubber band ligation. We always determine the appropriate approach only after an in-person examination, according to the stage and your symptoms.
A consultation with a proctological examination costs €60 at the Dermarevolta clinic and is deducted from the price of the procedure when you book one. The price of the procedures themselves depends on the diagnosis and method — for example, treatment of an anal fissure costs €250, removal of anal polyps €250 and treatment of grade II haemorrhoids €750. More demanding laser procedures, such as surgery for a perianal fistula, are more expensive. The exact amount is confirmed by the doctor after an in-person examination. You will find the complete price list on the rectal surgery page.
