Trichology in Bratislava

Trichological examination of the hair and scalp: we determine the cause and propose a treatment

How does a trichological consultation work?

Trichology in Bratislava at the private Dermarevolta clinic focuses on professional diagnosis of the hair and scalp with the aim of identifying the cause of the problems. Dr. Olena Lavreshyna examines the scalp with a digital trichoscope and determines the cause of hair loss already at the first visit. The consultation includes a medical history, trichoscopy and a conclusion with a treatment plan. The whole examination takes 30 minutes. We examine hair loss, dandruff, seborrhoeic dermatitis, alopecia areata and other scalp problems.

Examinations and procedures at the trichologist

The examination takes place in three steps: medical history, digital trichoscopy, and a conclusion with a treatment plan. We select Regenera Activa, PRP plasma therapy, or mesotherapy based on the results of the trichoscopy and the diagnosis.

Price list of trichological examinations

The prices of trichology services depend on the type of treatment and the specific hair or scalp condition. Dr. Olena Lavreshyna - private trichologist

Specialist in dermatovenereology and trichology

"I am a graduate of the Medical Faculty of Kharkiv National University, where I received my education in general medicine. Subsequently, I continued my postgraduate studies, where I earned my Doctor of Medicine degree. During my practice, I have worked in dermatovenerology clinics as well as at the Institute of Trichology, where I focused on modern methods of diagnosing and treating hair and scalp conditions."

She treats androgenetic alopecia, alopecia areata, seborrheic dermatitis, and diffuse hair loss caused by hormonal or nutritional factors. In her examinations, she uses digital trichoscopy, which displays hair density and the condition of the follicles under microscopic magnification.

Based on the results of the trichoscopy, she recommends Regenera Activa, PRP plasma therapy, scalp mesotherapy, or injection therapy for patchy hair loss.

At the Dermarevolta clinic in Bratislava, she provides private care and manages cases of hair loss from the initial examination to the long-term monitoring of treatment results.

Reasons to visit a trichologist

  • If your hair is falling out more than usual
  • If your hair is thinning and the scalp is becoming increasingly visible through the hair
  • If you suffer from dandruff or seborrhea and no shampoo helps
  • If you have an oily scalp despite regular washing
  • If you are bothered by itching, burning or pain on the scalp
  • If you have spots with bald spots
  • If the hair is thin, easily brittle and without shine
  • If you want to know the condition of your scalp

Why choose trichology in Dermarevolta

Digital trichoscope

For examinations, we use a digital dermatoscope with microscopic magnification. We see the results directly on the screen during the examination. The same device is commonly used in the diagnosis of skin diseases.

A Safe and Private Environment

Hair loss and scalp problems can be unpleasant, but they are definitely not taboo here. Any questions are welcome, without judgement.

Diagnosis of the cause of hair loss

Before any treatment, we determine the cause of hair loss: trichoscopy shows the condition of the follicles, and the medical history reveals possible systemic factors. The treatment is based on the findings.

Personalised treatment plan

We tailor each plan based on the trichoscopy results and medical history. The same diagnosis can have different causes and require different treatments.

Tracking the course of treatment

We determine the frequency of follow-up examinations after the initial findings. Mesotherapy involves a series of 4–6 treatments, while PRP consists of 3 procedures at monthly intervals. We adjust the plan depending on how the scalp reacts.

Appointment for a specific time

You book an appointment for a specific day and time. The time slot is reserved exclusively for you. If there is a change, please let us know at least 24 hours in advance.

Frequently asked questions

Frequently asked questions about the trichological examination

The initial trichological examination consists of a medical history, digital trichoscopy and a conclusion with a treatment plan. The trichoscope shows the condition of the scalp, hair density and the condition of the follicles under microscopic magnification. The whole examination takes 30 minutes, and you receive the treatment plan the same day.

The cost of the trichological examination depends on the type of examination. Examinations are not covered by health insurance; you pay directly at the clinic.

  • Initial trichological examination including trichoscopy: €120
  • Follow-up trichological examination including trichoscopy: €70
  • Hair mesotherapy with LED therapy: €110
  • Regenera Activa: €1,400

Do not dye your hair for at least 14 days before the appointment, and do not wash your hair for 2–3 days prior to the examination. Do not use any styling or hair products. The natural condition of the scalp will allow the trichoscope to capture an accurate image of hair density, follicle health, and sebaceous gland activity without distortion.

You should visit a trichologist when hair falls out significantly more than usual, when bald patches appear, or when dandruff and seborrhea do not respond to standard shampoos. Early diagnosis increases the effectiveness of treatment, because follicles capable of regeneration can only be activated during a certain stage of hair loss.

The duration of treatment depends on the diagnosis and the chosen method:

  • Androgenetic alopecia: long-term treatment, first results after 3–4 months.
  • Hair mesotherapy: a series of 4–6 treatments at intervals of 2–4 weeks
  • PRP plasma therapy: 3 procedures at monthly intervals
  • Regenera Activa: a one-time procedure, results after 3–6 months

The treatment process is continuously adjusted based on the results of follow-up trichological examinations.

Regenera Activa is a regenerative method that uses progenitor cells from the patient's own tissue to stimulate hair growth. It is suitable for androgenetic alopecia and diffuse hair loss. The procedure is performed on an outpatient basis, with no downtime, and the entire intervention takes about 60 minutes.

Dr. Olena Lavreshyna practices at the Dermarevolta clinic, offering consultations in Slovak, Ukrainian, and Russian. The examination takes place without a language barrier, which is important for taking a detailed medical history and explaining the treatment plan.
