Before the transplant we assess whether the procedure is suitable for you at this time. If your hair is actively falling out or the examination reveals a condition that could affect the result, the doctor will recommend the next steps, sometimes postponing the procedure. After the procedure we monitor healing of the scalp, temporary hair shedding and the onset of new growth on trichoscopic images. We design treatment of your own hair so that it does not interfere with graft healing.
We examine the causes of hair thinning. In androgenetic alopecia, a transplant may be suitable. In some other forms of hair loss, the procedure is not recommended or should be postponed.
With digital trichoscopy we assess the density and quality of hair at the back of the head. If hair is thinning in the donor area too, it may affect transplant planning and the number of available grafts.
If your hair is actively falling out, we assess the need for treatment and laboratory tests. With some conditions it is better to postpone the transplant until the condition stabilises.
We assess scabs, redness, pimples and the condition of the donor area. We distinguish normal healing from inflammation that needs treatment.
At check-ups we compare trichoscopic images. We monitor the growth of transplanted hair as well as the condition of your own hair around the grafts.
A transplant does not stop further thinning of non-transplanted hair. Depending on the findings, we propose long-term treatment of androgenetic alopecia.
The first visit includes a comprehensive trichological examination with digital trichoscopy; further visits are follow-ups. We adjust the check-up dates to your condition, usually 2 to 4 weeks after the procedure and at 3, 6 and 12 months. Depending on the findings, the doctor may recommend the Vlasy (Hair) package or further tests. You will know the prices in advance.
Examinations and check-ups are led by a doctor who specialises in hair and scalp conditions.
We store trichoscopic images from every visit, so hair growth is assessed from a record, not by estimate.
We also follow patients who had their transplant in Turkey or another country. At check-ups we take into account the recommendations of the clinic that performed the transplant.
We recommend additional procedures based on the examination results, the condition of the scalp and the course of healing.
You can talk to the doctor in Slovak, English or Ukrainian.
You can find examination prices in the price list. We are a private clinic and you do not need a referral.

A hair transplant addresses thinning in androgenetic alopecia, but not every case of hair loss is androgenetic alopecia. In telogen effluvium, alopecia areata or scarring alopecia, the cause and activity of the disease must first be assessed. A transplant may not be suitable, or the doctor may recommend postponing it. The trichologist examines the causes of hair loss, assesses the donor area and recommends the next steps.
Yes. Bring your medical report or surgical record with the method and number of grafts, the clinic’s aftercare instructions, a list of medications and photos from before and after the procedure. The doctor speaks English, so she can read documentation in English directly. We usually schedule the first check-up once the scalp has healed, 2 to 4 weeks after the procedure, and further ones at about 3, 6 and 12 months. We adjust the exact dates to how your healing progresses.
Usually, yes. Transplanted hairs typically fall out between the 2nd and 8th week after the procedure, while the follicles remain in the skin. Sometimes your own hair around them also falls out temporarily. New hair usually starts growing around the 3rd to 4th month. If you have doubts about how the shedding is progressing, book a check-up. The doctor will assess the scalp and perform trichoscopy if needed.
A visible change usually comes between the 6th and 9th month. The final result is assessed after about 12 months; in some patients growth continues until the 18th month. Judging the result after a few weeks is premature.
No. A transplant moves hair follicles from the donor area, but it does not stop androgenetic alopecia in the non-transplanted hair. Your own hair around the grafts may continue to thin. That is why after the transplant we also monitor its condition and, depending on the findings, recommend long-term treatment.
PRP may be a complementary treatment for some patients, but it is not a condition for successful graft survival and the result cannot be guaranteed. For mesotherapy, the evidence of improved survival of transplanted grafts is insufficient. The doctor decides on suitability and timing based on the condition of the scalp, the type of hair loss and the recommendations of the clinic that performed the transplant.
If the pain is getting worse, pus is coming from the wounds, the redness is spreading, bleeding does not stop or you have a fever. These symptoms require an urgent medical examination. Contact the clinic that performed the transplant. If you cannot reach it or your condition is serious, seek urgent medical care.
